Caprese Salad
Ingredients:
3–4 ripe tomatoes, sliced
8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
1 bunch fresh basil leaves
2–3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1–2 tablespoons balsamic glaze or vinegar (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Arrange the Salad:
On a large platter or plate, alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella, overlapping them slightly. Tuck whole basil leaves between the slices.Season:
Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze (if using). Sprinkle with salt and pepper.Serve:
Serve immediately as a refreshing appetizer or side dish.
